Recently the UK heat flow-heat production data-base has been expanded. The linear correlation formerly recognised for southern Britain is now in doubt and there seems no justification for recognising heat flow provinces with characteristic q* and D in the UK. Interpretation of heat flow-heat production data from two voluminous granite batholiths is consistent with geochemical evidence that depth distributions of heat production differ according to magma type. ¿ American Geophysical Union 1987 |
