We have studied the flow of plasma past Io using a time dependent, three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) simulation. In addition to observing the ''Alfv¿n wing'', a standing Alfv¿n wave perturbation expected from analytic theory, we have found that the other MHD modes contribute important perturbations.
