The global topography of the terrestrial bodies has been more or less determined from past planetary missions and from ground measurements and the behavior of their spectra studied over the low frequencies only-except the Earth's case. We here perform new spherical harmonic analysis of the topography of the Earth, Venus, and Mars by using existing (sometimes recently made available) data sets, to the highest possible degree and order, so as to establish the decay of these spectra over a larger range of frequencies than before, study the limit of validity of the used data sets, and provide some new inputs to further geophysical analysis. ¿ American Geophysical Union 1993
