Measurements of ultraviolet solar spectral irradiance from ground-based observations made at Reykjavik (64¿N) and Thessaloniki (40¿N) are used to calculate erythemally-weighted UV-B does during EASOE. It is shown that the largest values of UV-B does observed were about double those expected with an unperturbed ozone amount under cloudy conditions. At middle latitudes UV-B doses were within expectation throughout the period of the campaign. ¿American Geophysical Union 1994 |
