The UARS CLAES instrument made extensive measurements of the infrared emission of stratospheric aerosol resulting from the June 15, 1991 eruption of Mount Pinatubo from October, 1991 until May, 1993. The aerosol distribution is shown as a series of daily zonal-mean latitude cross-sections of absorption coefficient and stratospheric infrared optical depth with coverage from 80 ¿N to 80 ¿S. Sulfuric acid mass estimates are presented. ¿ American Geophysical Union 1995
