Colas, F., Tiphène, D., Lecacheux, J., Drossart, P., de Batz, B., Pau, S., Rouan, D. and Sèvre, F. (1995). Near-infrared imaging of SL9 impacts on Jupiter from Pic-du-Midi Observatory. Geophysical Research Letters 22: doi: 10.1029/95GL01824. issn: 0094-8276.

Observations of SL9 impacts with an infrared camera on the 1 meter telescope at Pic-du-Midi has provided images in filters J, H and K, which show the temporal evolution of the impact sites, in particular at an early stage. The light curves of impacts H and L are presented here; they exhibit similar characteristics, with three successive maxima, corresponding to a succession of atmospheric phenomena following an impact. ¿ American Geophysical Union 1995
