A two dimensional rounding process model, including morphological analyses of grain form and calculation of flux of surface diffusion driven by difference of curvature, is developed and solved numerically. Results from simplified model runs, intended to illustrate the shape dependence of rounding rate, are presented. The method for evaluation of the morphological feature of grains during rounding and the method for estimation of actual flux from the morphological analysis of experimental products are discussed.¿ 1997 American Geophysical Union |
