Zou, H. and Gao, Y. (1997). Long-term variation in TOMS ozone over 60–70°S. Geophysical Research Letters 24: doi: 10.1029/97GL02311. issn: 0094-8276.

This article discusses the long-term variations, seasonal cycle, trends, Quasi-biennial Oscillation (QBO) and El Ni¿o-Southern Oscillation (ENSO), in total ozone over 60--70 ¿S latitude zone, using data from the Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer (TOMS) on Nimbus 7 (version 7). The study is focused on the zonal distribution of the above long-term variations in this latitude zone. Recognizably different characteristics are revealed in the ozone variations over the West Antarctic from those over the East Antarctic. The discussion of these differences notes the possible impact of the land-sea contrast in the West Antarctic on the ozone variations.¿ 1997 American Geophysical Union
