Stratospheric infrared spectral measurements were made by the Cryogenic Infrared Radiance Instrumentation for Shuttle (CIRRIS-1A) during the Space Transportation System 39 mission (28 April to 6 May 1991). The moderate-resolution (1.0 cm-1) spectra from the CIRRIS-1A measurements reveal infrared emissions from the stratospheric gases of carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) and carbon tetrafluoride (CF4). Volume-mixing ratios of these gases were retrieved using FASCOD3 with the HITRAN96 database as a forward model. These volume-mixing ratios are compared with other measurements. ¿ 1998 American Geophysical Union |
