Hanasz, J., Boudjada, M.Y., Schreiber, R., Krawczyk, Z., Malycha, M., Mogilevsky, M.M., Rucker, H.O. and Romantsova, T.V. (2000). Dynamic spectra of the Stokes parameters for the dayside and nightside auroral kilometric radiation. Geophysical Research Letters 27: doi: 10.1029/1999GL010770. issn: 0094-8276.

First determination of dynamic spectra of the Stokes parameters for the AKR are reported. Frequent appearance of the L-O mode of AKR sometimes as intense as the R-X one, and sporadically even more intense than that was observed in the dayside magnetosphere. Existence of dayside sources of AKR is inferred from discussion of their visibility from the s/c orbiting on the dayside, taking into account a limited opening angle of the AKR emission cone. The domination of the R-X wave mode is confirmed for the nightside observations. ¿ 2000 American Geophysical Union
