Ma, S.Y., Liu, P. and Schlegel, K. (2000). EISCAT observation of a high-latitude ionization trough associated with a reversed westward plasma flow. Geophysical Research Letters 27: doi: 10.1029/2000GL000073. issn: 0094-8276.

Trough-like plasma structures in the high-latitude ionosphere near the polar cap boundary are investigated with EISCAT CP3 data and in-situ satellite observations. Emphasis is placed on one interesting event occurring in the morning sector during the recovery phase of a moderate magnetic storm. The event features are probably ionospheric signatures of cusp processes caused by magnetic reconnection on the dayside magnetopause. ¿ 2000 American Geophysical Union
