Continuous wave radar data from the University of Saskatchewan summer 1981 radar auroral campaign were examined to study the variation of spectral width with aspect angle. In order to reduce the uncertainties caused by refraction from strong optical forms, the data were restricted to stable eastward electrojet events. A consistent and sharp increase of spectral width with aspect angle was observed, in qualitative agreement with theory. ¿ American Geophysical Union 1994
