In this paper we study the influence of the angle between the local interstellar medium velocity and magnetic field vectors on the interaction of this medium with the solar wind. Both winds are supposed supersonic. Applicability of the two-shock model of the interaction is discussed. Investigation is performed by numerical solution of the MHD equations for an ideal plasma in the one-fluid approximation. ¿ 1998 American Geophysical Union |
