Macdonald, G.A. (1942). Potash-oligoclase in Hawaiian lavas. American Mineralogist 27(12): 793-800. |
|
Macdonald describes interstitial feldspar as having a small positive optic axial angle and refractive indices of oligoclase or andesine, concluding that it is soda-lime plagioclase containing a small amount of potash. He gives a table of analyses of lavas containing potash oligoclase, mostly alkalic rocks from older volcanoes. |
