Measurements of ionospheric pulsating electric fields by means of balloon-borne sensors are reported. The electric field pulsates with a period of ~6 min and is apparently associated with a Pc 5 micropulsation. The relevance of the present observations to the association, reported in the literature, between pulsating auroral radar echoes and geomagnetic micropulsations in the Pc 5 range is discussed.
