Observations are presented of the XXXXX in the solar wind proton parameters at XXXX 2.2 AU as a result of the solar flares in XXXXXX 1972. These observations were obtained by XXXXAmes Research Center solar wind plasma XXX ther experiments on Pioneer 9 and Pioneer 10. XXXX me resolution measurements are presented XXXXXsolar wind proton speed associated with arrival of te interplanetary shocks at XXXXXX9 and Pioneer 10. For these events, XXXXXXX ion energy per unit charge spectra XXXXXXwn which indicate the changes in the solar XXXXXdistribution function associated with arrival of each of the interplanetary shocks. XXXXXst shocks are identified at Pioneer 9, and XXXX found that previously the time of arrival XXX first interplanetary shock at Pioneer 9 XXX correctly identified. Two fast shocks XXXX reverse shock are identified at Pioneer calculations are performed to obtaine the XXXX shock speeds for each of these shocks XXXXX at Pioneer 9 and Pioneer 10. On the basis of these calculations the Pioneer 9/Pioneer 10 shock associations are reexamined, and it is found that contrary to previously published studies there was no significant XXXXration of the interplanetary shocks between XXXXXX 2.2 AU. |
