The heating facility at Ramfjordmoen near Troms¿, Norway, has been used to modulate the polar electrojet at frequencies in the Pc 5 range in order to excite micropulsations. The first experimental results indicate that pulsations with amplitudes of the order of 10 &ggr; were generated. Even stronger effects are expected in future experiments.
