In this paper, we describe European Incoherent Scatter Scientific Association (EISCAT) capabilities to measure ionospheric parameters in the E and F regions simultaneously. We discuss especially the multipulse technique which we used for E region study. We show the behavior of the auroral ionosphere during a period with low energy input and its response to precipitation of electrons with wide energy spectrum. Finally, we show neutral density measurements in the lower thermosphere for two different days with different energy input. |
