Bavassano-Cattaneo, M.B., Moreno, G., Scotto, M.T. and Acuña, M. (1987). Observations of large-amplitude MHD waves in Jupiter’s foreshock in connection with a quasi-perpendicular shock structure. Journal of Geophysical Research 92: doi: 10.1029/JA080i011p12413. issn: 0148-0227.

Plasma and magnetic field observations performed on board the Voyager 2 spacecraft have been used to investigate Jupiter's foreshock. Large-amplitude waves have been detected in association with the quasi-perpendicular structure of the Jovian bow shock, thus proving that the upstream turbulence is not a characteristic signature of the quasi-parallel shock. ¿ American Geophysical Union 1987
