In the regions of auroral particle precipitation the plasma wave phenomena detected by the EXOS D (Akebono) satellite show remarkable differences corresponding to the plasma condition and precipitating particle energy condition. In the region of the high plasma density where fp>fc, for the plasma frequency fp and the electron cyclotron frequency fc, the upper hybrid waves are dominantly generated, while the quasi-electrostatic whistler mode waves are generated under the condition fpfc. The simulation results then give interpretation for the evidences observed by the EXOS D satellite. ¿ American Geophysical Union 1993 |
