Parameterizations for the horizontally averaged temperature of infinite Prandtl number numerical convection experiments are determined. The types of convection considered result from uniform heating from below, uniform heating from within, and isothermal boundaries with a higher temperature applied to the bottom. The method used to based on fitting sample analytical expressions to suitably nondimensionalized and rescaled numerical solutions, thus providing a concise and in most cases accurate description of the horizontally averaged temperature. |
