Brace, W.F. (1984). Permeability of crystalline rocks: New in situ measurements. Journal of Geophysical Research 89: doi: 10.1029/JB089iB06p04327. issn: 0148-0227.

New in situ measurements from 10 sites, including three in basalt, have about the same range of permeability for crystalline rocks as reported previously, namely from about 10-18 m2 (1 μdarcy) to 10-13 m2 (100 mdarcy). Highly conductive intervals may be as deep as 3 km.
