Fabian, P., Borchers, R., Weiler, K.H., Schmidt, U., Volz, A., Ehhalt, D.H., Seiler, W. and Müller, F. (1979). Simultaneously measured vertical profiles of H2, CH4, CO, N2O, CFCl3, and CF2Cl2 in the mid-latitude stratosphere and troposphere. Journal of Geophysical Research 84: doi: 10.1029/JC084iC06p03149. issn: 0148-0227.

Results from balloon-borne experiments carried out in southern France at a latitude of about 44 ¿ are presented. Four successful flights were performed with a neon-cooled cryogenic air sampler designed to collect large air samples at eight different stratospheric heights. Supplementary tropospheric air samples were taken aboard a chartered aircraft. The samples, which cover an altitude range from 2.8 km to 35.3 km, were analyzed gas chromatographically for H2, CH4, CO, N2O, CFCl3, and CF2Cl2.
