An approximate estimation of the intensities of the different aerosol sources and of the budget of sea salt is carried out. Chemical composition data of frontal precipitating cloud water, the results of the research of rainout and washout processes, and the annual global precipitation amount are used in this estimation. There is good agreement between the obtained results of the estimation of sea-salt source intensity and data on river run off of chloride into ocean.
