Various observations of dissolved oxygen in the Arctic mixed layer show that the concentrations vary from a few percent undersaturation to about 10 percent supersaturation. In this work, a balance calculation is attempted based on seasonal sources and sinks of dissolved oxygen. The average calculated concentration was found to vary from about 1 percent undersaturation to about 10 percent supersaturation depending on the boundary conditions. ¿ American Geophysical Union 1987 |
