The Frontal Air-Sea Interaction Experiment addressed an important aspect of the coupling between the boundary layers of the ocean and the atmosphere, concentrating as far as possible on the effect of oceanic fronts. An excellent data set has been obtained, which has led to a collected series of papers. The results presented in these papers are placed in the general perspective of our understanding of air-sea interaction and of the larger-scale processes in the ocean and atmosphere. Suggestions are made for further analysis of the FASINEX data set and for future research in this area. ¿ American Geophysical Union 1991 |
