Sizes and concentrations of spray droplets (radius r>25 μm) were measured with an optical technique, while masses of sea salt were obtained through isokinetic sampling. Both sets of measurements were performed at the elevation of 8.2 m above the mean sea surface under relatively high wind velocities (U>9 m s-1). From these simultaneously collected data, a complete spectrum of marine aerosols were constructed. Contributions of film, jet, and spume drops to marine aerosols are also discussed. ¿ American Geophysical Union 1992 |
