Meteorological data from three weather stations in the Fritz Peak region of the Colorado Front Range are presented to aid in the interpretation of photochemical results from the tropospheric OH Photochemistry Experiment. The field site, its surrounding topography, and pollution sources are described. Meteorological data show a transition during the campaign from the summer into the fall season, marked by decreasing temperatures and cloud cover, along with increasing wind speeds and westerly flow. Mountainous terrain significantly influences the meteorology over the site and thereby complicates the comparisons of chemical measurements. The meteorological data suggest that an appropriate time to make comparisons between measurement techniques is under conditions of strong westerly airflow, though synchronous upslope wind events should not be excluded.¿ 1997 American Geophysical Union
