Rate constants for the reactions of H+ (NH3)m(H2O)n with pyridine and all three picolines have been measured for m+n≤5. The rate constants were found to be large for all m and n studied. The reactions proceed by proton transfer, with an undetermined number of ligands transferred. Estimates of the rate constants at 300 K have been made for the reactions needed to derive pyridine and picoline concentrations in the atmosphere. ¿ American Geophysical Union 1988 |
