Solar spectra in the wavelength range 2000--3100 ¿, measured near 40 km in the stratosphere in 1978 and 1983, have been combined and extrapolated to zero optical depth to provide a reference spectrum in 0.1-¿ resolution. The wavelength scale has been carefully compared with wavelength standards, and a cyclic instrumental effect has been removed, resulting in a wavelength accuracy to within 0.04 ¿. The absolute intensities have been normalized to the previously reported 1983 spectrum in 1.0-¿ resolution. |
