Measurements on the relationship between sulfate mass and light scattering coefficient and sulfate cloud condensation nucleus efficiency over the Northeast Atlantic Ocean suggest lower values for these parameters than have been used in recent estimates of the climatic impact of sulfate aerosols. Analysis suggests an important role in both processes for nonsulfate aerosol. ¿ American Geophysical Union 1993
