The solar backscatter ultraviolet (SBUV) radiance data in the period February 1987 to June 1990 were affected by chopper synchronization errors. The synchronization errors have been characterized and a method was developed for correcting the individual radiance measurements. The profile and total ozone values retrieved using the corrected radiance data have much less variance than the uncorrected data. The total and profile ozone values were compared with external ozone measurements, and no apparent bias was introduced by the correction method. ¿ American Geophysical Union 1995 |
