The product distribution for the reaction of thermal energy N+ ions with O2 has been measured by ion cyclotron resonance methods. Three product channels are identified with the following fractional distribution: O2++N, 0.65¿0.04; NO++0, 0.31¿0.04; O++NO, 0.04¿0.02.
