The moment method and the image technique are used to study currents induced in human bodies standing under 345-kV power lines with and without house shielding. The maximum induced current in a human body without house shielding is found to be 68.9 μA. The maximum induced current in a human body with a cement-house shielding is found to be 4.36¿10-11 A. In this paper the electric fields induced on human body surfaces are also presented. It is found that there is an electric field enhancement factor at the top of the head. ¿ 1999 American Geophysical Union |
