Molecular hydrodynamics and the associated theories of statistical mechanical correlation functions are used to develop a spatially and temporally nonlocal convective-dispersive equation for transport in fractal porous media. A frequency and wave vector dependent dispersion tensor is developed from statistical mechanical principles. All results reduce to their classical Fickian counterparts under appropriate conditions. ¿ American Geophysical Union 1993 |
