I present the detailed variations of precipitable water vapor (PWV) for a summer day using the Japanese continuous Global Positioning System (GPS) array. Spatial and temporal PWV variations show good coherence with the development of thermally-induced local circulations, which reflect the movement of water vapor over a spatial scale of a few tens of kilometers. ¿ 2001 American Geophysical Union |
