Reck, R.A. (1978). Thermal effects of stratospheric ozone depletion at 85¿°N latitude sas influenced by airborne particles. Geophysical Research Letters 5: doi: 10.1029/GL005i005p00361. issn: 0094-8276.

This work extends our radiative-convective model calculations to study the influence of particles on the thermal effects of ozone depletion at 85 ¿N latitude, July. The inclusion of particles leads to surface heating when ozone is depleted. Two particle height distributions, one measured and one modeled, but having approximately the same columnar abundance, produced the same thermal effect, 0.18 ¿0.002 K surface temperature increase for each percent of stratosistent with our results for 35¿N latitude obtained previously.
