Results of the geomagnetic paleointensity determination on Pliocene rocks of Armenia, Primor'e, Iceland, and Vietnam are presented. Their analysis indicates that a considerable increase in the ratio of the Earth's ancient magnetic moment to its present value, from 0.5-0.6 to 1.1-1.2, took place in the Upper Pliocene ( nearly equal 2.5 Ma).
