The recently concluded second biennial Community Coordinated Modeling Center )CCMC( Workshop dealt with the progress that the space weather community has made in the two years since the last gathering and the technical challenges yet to be overcome. The 28-31 October 2003 workshop, held at the Maui High Performance Computing Center in Kihei, Hawaii, built on issues related to the Center's 2000 creation by a consortium of government agencies to enable, support, and perform the research and development needed for the next generation of space weather models. |
