President Robert Dickinson has appointed a panel to write a position statement on what the U.S. Oceans Commission report recommends about ocean science research, education, and other topics that affect and involve the broader AGU community. Michael McPhaden of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and President of the Ocean Sciences Section, chairs the panel.
