Since early in 1998, NASA's Advanced Composition Explorer (ACE) spacecraft has provided continuous measurements of solar wind and energetic particle activity from L1, its orbit position located approximately 0.01 AU sunward of Earth. In this article we review current and planned data products available from ACE and describe recent modifications to the spacecraft's orbit that will extend its lifetime and provide solar wind data closer to the Earth-Sun boundary. |
