Several of the talks and posters at the 18-25 July 2004 Assembly of the Committee on Space Research (COSPAR) in Paris discussed the relevance of the research results to practical space weather concerns. These acknowledgments were quite often more than merely superficial. Indeed, the presenters expressed genuine excitement about the potential practical importance of new physical understandings that were the central features of their research. |
