Space Weather has published a significant number of feature, news, and commentary articles since its October 2003 launch, written by interested readers as well as by journal staff. Informal comments to me from colleagues suggest that most of these articles have filled a real need in the community for a means to learn more about space weather and for a forum to express technical and policy views on issues important to the space weather community.
