With solar activity decreasing as solar minimum approaches, will public and private interest in space weather effects decrease as well? This question should be of interest to researchers and to those involved with space weather operations. Over the next few years the community should pay close attention to likely diminishing interest by managers in space weather, and the implications for support for space weather research.
