MAGSAT scalar anomalies are compared on a global basis with known geologic and tectonic structures. For many anomalies good geographic coincidences are found with some shields, cratons and platforms, sedimentary basins, deep oceanic abyssal plains, submarine plateaus and some subduction zones.
