The Arctic Gas and Aerosol Sampling Program (AGASP) was conducted across the Arctic in the spring of 1983 to study the large scale air pollution phenomenon known as Arctic haze. A component of this program utilized a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration WP-3D Orion research aircraft to study the haze in situ. The program and aircraft instrumentation are described.
