Methane and nitrous oxide have been observed by limb absorption spectrometry using the Spacelab One grille spectrometer. The CH4 &ngr;3 band is observed with a 0.1 cm-1 resolution up to 80 km while N2O can be seen up to 52 km in strong lines of its &ngr;3 band. The values are compared, where possible, with previous observations and are in agreement with rocket determinations. |
