Using bathymetric and sea floor ages maps, students will decide whether the required information about spreading centers is available from the resources given.
Using the MSWord document attached to the ERESE instructions, students will compare three maps and decide whether the data available from the maps can be used to identify a spreading plate center.
This lesson, as writen, can be used as an assesstment tool for Earth and Plate Tectonics or for analysis of the students ability to use and understand the nuances of the scienctific method. the latter is how I (will) use the lesson.
