| Description | Lelei Seamount is located at 1¿ 0.4' S, 176¿ 7.8' W and is part of the Tokelau Seamounts on the Pacific Plate. It is 3898 m high with the top at -1200 m and the ocean bottom at -5098 m. The seamount has a volume of 2086 km3 and is fairly round with slightly irregular edges. Multiple rifts radiate out from the center of the seamount. Lelei is located in a cluster of volcanoes with an azimuth of approximately 303¿. There is a saddle between this seamount and the Goto Motu Seamount to the north. To the south is a raised platform at approximately -4000 m. Dredge AVON2-D34 was taken off the southwest oriented rift. |
