Description
This Matlab software generates the paleosecular variation curves for the geomagnetic field elements within a spherical cap of 30 degrees centered at 40N, 10E according to the SCHA.DIF.4k regional model. |

Instructions 1. Download the file "scha_dif_4k.p" from here (O.S. Windows / MacOs / Linux).
2. Put the file in your Matlab directory (e.g. C:\Matlab\work\schadif4k\).
3. Execute the program, writing: >> scha_dif_4k
4. The program asks you for different options.
5. As results, you will obtain the palaeosecular variation curves for the declination, inclination and intensity elements, as well as the plots and the input archeomagnetic and volcanic database.
6. The columns are: time(yr), latitude, longitude, declination, declination error (1sigma), inclination, inclination error (1sigma), intensity (microT), intensity error (microT, 1sigma).
